Gombe State Donates Land For Vegetable Market

The Gombe State Government has donated five hectares of land in Kwadon Town to the National Agriculture Land Development Authority, NALDA for construction of a multi million naira vegetable market.
The project, which is aimed at improving agricultural value chain, will be executed in partnership with the state  government.
Following this, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry,  Hon. Muhammad Magaji Gettado, accompanied by Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government, Hon.  Shu’aibu Galadima  presented the title documents on behalf of the government to the Executive Secretary, NALDA, who was represented by Gombe State Coordinator, Hon. Muhammad Bello Santuraki.
The Commissioner commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for making it possible for the actualisation of the project.
“His Excellency has given us every needed support to see that the project sees light of the day”,  the commissioner said.
In his remarks,  Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Council, Hon. Shu’aibu Galadima commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for bringing such a great development to his people.
He confirmed that all the people whose farmlands were affected have been fully compensated.
Hon Galadima said, the compensation was to the tune of forty-five million, five hundred thousand Naira (45, 500, 000).
The District Head of Kwadon, praised Governor Yahaya’s developmental policies and programmes, particularly his rural transformation drive.  
He assured that his people will continue to support the government in its determination to bring development to the grassroots.
