Everton Sack Benitez After 7 Months In Charge

Everton who are Premier League giants have announced the sacking of manager Rafael Benitez after almost seven months that the former Liverpool boss was appointed as gaffer. Things have not been going well at Everton since the Spaniard took over at Goodison Park and their latest defeat against Norwich City forced the club to take the decision. In addition to the trouble at Everton, the Toffees have won just once in the Premier League since September and are occupying 15th position on the table.

According to the confirmation by Everton, the Premier League club explained that the former Real Madrid handler has left their camp immediately.Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard among names on shortlist to take over at Premier League side Everton. Since Frank Lampard was fired at Premier League side Chelsea, the Englishman is yet to get another club after being replaced with Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.

Last season, Thomas Tuchel was impressive while handling Chelsea as he helped the Blues to win the Champions League title. Earlier, the Italian outfit Genoa have sacked Andriy Shevchenko as manager of the club with barely two months after he was appointed. The Ukrainian managed just one win in his 11 matches in charge in all competitions. The Serie A club announced that Under-17 coach Abdoulay Konko would be caretaker manager until the club finds a permanent replacement for the former AC Milan striker.
