It was a red letter day on Saturday October 28 at the University of Lagos,Akoka when the academic community and other invited guests came together to witness the Annual Thanksgiving Award Ceremony and inauguration of the newly elected Executive of Otu Nnoko,University of Lagos.
The glittering ceremony which was attended by the Vice Chancellor,Professor Ogunsola, included Eze Ndigbo Lagos Mainland and other top academic staff of the university.
The ceremony featured featured performance by invited women group,Igbo Students’ troupe, Swearing-in of the new Elected Excos and presentation of Awards to some invited dignitaries and officials of the cultural organisation.
According to Chairman Interim Executive Otu Nnoko,Unilag,Professor Willy Iyiegbuniwe, the cultural association is composed of mainly the university workers of Igbo extraction with purpose of promoting the Igbo culture and welfare of members within the university community at all times.
